Much has been written on the history of northern Wisconsin; most of the cities, towns and communities located in the area have had their pasts studied and related in some type of history. Sugar Camp is an exception. Although aspects of its history have been alluded to in related works, Sugar Camp’s past has never been studied independently. Sugar Camp 1891-1941 fills this gap in our historical knowledge of northern Wisconsin by investigating the community’s origins and early history.
